Review: Liz Earle – Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Review: Liz Earle – Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Feb 08

I have been wanted to write this review for a few days now, but my start of the week has been a little bit hectic. Today I am going to tell you my experience with Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, a multi-award winner of the UK brand.

I have tested it for the last 2 weeks and I must say I am impressed with it. It comes in really nice pouch, with a pump-tube of 100 ml and 2 muslin towels. It is the most dense cleanser I have ever tried.  The formula is based on naturally active ingredients and you can definitely smell the eucalyptus in it.

I  normally use 2 pumps of the product for face and neck.

In  the pouch you will find instructions with how to use the cleanser. There are 2 steps you have to follow in order to obtain perfectly clean skin.

Step 1: Massage one or two pumps onto dry skin over face and neck twice a day.

Step 2: Rinse the pure muslin cloth in hand-hot water and wring out before gently wiping off the cream. Rinse and repeat.

Splash face with cool clean water and follow with Instant Boost Skin Tonic and your choice of moisturiser.

I must say that for a cleanser based on natural ingredients, this is the best! Although it is dense, it just glides over the whole face and I had no problem whatsoever with the eye area. I have pretty sensitive skin and usually I have some minor discomfort in the eye area. But Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish does the job without causing any problem. I have tried it with pretty heavy eye-makeup and any trace of that dark shadow that I used just vanished. This was the ultimate testing, as I usually have to insist to get the dark gray and intense blues erased.

I just love the muslin cloth. The starter kit comes with 2 such 100% cotton towels and the best thing about them is that they help to gently exfoliate your skin, as you remove all the makeup and impurities that have been gathered on the face during the day. I washed the towels with gentle soap after each use and they are still spotless. To keep them perfectly clean, just throw them in the washing machine, at 40 degrees, every 2-3 uses.

The skin feels softer and looks brighter afterwards and I have experienced no breakout since I started using this product. It does not dry out the skin and it leaves it feeling plump. It must be the cocoa butter in it, because I almost did not feel the need to apply moisturizer.

If you want to try it, there are different sizes available, if you don’t want to make a commitment from the start. My experience has been great and I will definitely buy this product.

I have read about this cleanser a lot before I had the chance to try it and it definitely rises to the promise. It just makes getting off makeup a whole new experience.

Did anybody else try this cleanser? How do you feel about it?
